A horizontal band saw ZHL 120x2 with two heads is intended for sawing of uncut planks, beams, three-edged planks, beams and four-edged planks, beams to any size as needed. No previous sorting of round timber by diameter is needed.
     The band saw machine shall be equipped with a storage deck, a separator of round timber with a mechanism for round timber directing to the band saw table.
      The moving saw heads are driven by an engine reduction gear. The band saw machine must be equipped with a size setting computer, speed adjuster and remover of beams of the cut planks, as well as with a material distribution conveyor for transportation in three directions. The band saw machine is operated by one operator. Feeding, separation of round timber and distribution of the material is automatic. All manipulations with the round timber, turning, pressing, levelling, gripping are performed by using hydraulics. Quick installation of the first saw cut is performed by using laser. To increase the output and durability of the saw bands, sawing of debarked round timber is preferable. The average production capacity per shift is 40-50 m³ of round timber, provided the net sawing time is 7h, by 50 min./per hour.
